Oracle Corp. has integrated two of its applications, Siebel Trade Promotion Management and Demantra Predictive Trade Planning and Promotion Optimization. The move provides customers with a complete and integrated product for trade promotions management and advanced planning, the vendor said. The integration supports new and existing customer relationship management (CRM) customers who are looking to extend their trade promotion-management systems with simulation, planning and optimization capabilities. Part of the Oracle Application Integration Architecture, the new offering was developed in collaboration between Oracle and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu under their business alliance. It combines predictive trade planning, simulation modeling and promotion-optimization capabilities. According to Oracle, customers get enhanced account and promotion-planning functionality, including sales and statistical forecasts, account-planning summaries and quotas in a streamlined and configurable graphical user interface. They can also model and simulate promotions, to conduct pre-promotion analyses of profitability.
