Network Global Logistics (NGL), a provider of critical transportation, service and spare-parts logistics and integrated supply-chain management, is expanding its network of forward stocking locations (FSLs). With more than 300 FSLs already in place throughout North America, NGL has widened its network to include locations in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South America and the Caribbean. The facilities are positioned to provide inventory management and time-critical transport to companies in multiple industries, including technology, medical, telecommunications, point of sale, office automation and semiconductor. NGL also manages 13 regional distribution centers, strategically located throughout North America in support of its service-parts logistics customers. The regional DCs can also serve as FSLs. In another company announcement, NGL has adopted an advanced Enterprise Digital Assistant to support its same-day ground and scheduled-route delivery services. Features of the new handheld device include barcode scanning, real-time GPS tracking and tracing, route optimization, and instant electronic signature capture and transmission.
