In the U.S., 36 healthcare-compliant FSL sites will provide manufacturers access to more than 80 percent of U.S. hospital beds within four hours, the company said. The facilities will operate under the guidance of UPS’s quality-assurance and compliance program, which features temperature-controlled or monitored environments and offers same-day delivery. UPS’s network serving the healthcare sector also includes 46 dedicated warehousing and distribution facilities worldwide. Its FSL network consists of more than 950 locations, serving high-tech, telecommunications, aerospace, industrial, automotive and non-regulated medical device manufacturers.
