It combines handheld barcode tag printing, radio frequency identification scanner technology and a linkage to the data system of record. Users can make operational decisions based on real-time asset data, while reducing labor costs and streamlining manual processes, Take said. The new system offers asset repair and maintenance functionality, allowing companies to plan and schedule maintenance and services, as well as track all expenses associated with each item's maintenance history. With the ability to track assets by location, item ID or serial number, the system's handheld devices feed inventory and maintenance data to the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
