Actio Corp., a provider of hosted software for supply-chain information management, has released a new version of its Actio MSDS Vault application. Vault helps companies to manage environmental health and safety compliance. Manufacturers can author, centralize, analyze and report on their materials safety data libraries. The latest version allows users to better manage changes in regulations, such as the upcoming Globally Harmonized Systems (GHS) standards. Vault automates key processes and provides company-wide visibility of the chemical footprint, so that users can control product stewardship, environmentally conscious product lifecycle management, and associated reporting requirements. An updated interface allows for single sign-on into Vault, effective across the entire Actio product suite. Other features of the update include an enhanced rules engine for distributing finished-product Material Safety Data Sheets to customers, updated supplier data collection, improved materials and ingredients screening against all regulation lists, enhanced grid and table reporting functionality, and readiness for quick conversion to GHS formats. The system is fluent in 14 languages, Actio said.
