Binmaster Level Controls has teamed up with New Boundary Technologies to offer enhanced capabilities for the management of bin, tank and silo inventories. The deal integrates New Boundary's TankVista remote monitoring and control software into BinMaster's Web-based inventory-management application known as BinLink. Components of the latter tool include SmartBob2 and SmartBob-TS1 sensors mounted on the bins, a gateway running the SmartBob application, and TankVista software. The technology makes bin-level data available to any authorized user with an internet connection. With BinLink, users can instantly monitor storage or process bins, and quickly identify tanks that require attention. Internet access allows for the coordination of bin empty and fill cycles, resulting in optimized processes, the companies said. Users can view inventory data on demand, or receive automated alerts to their cell phones, PDAs or computers when bin conditions meet pre-defined minimum or maximum levels.
