Motorola Inc. has created the Motorola PartnerEmpower Program, bringing together all of its Enterprise Mobility Solutions (EMS) technology under a single channel program framework. According to the company, the program will make it easier for channel partners to conduct business with Motorola. The introduction of PartnerEmpower is a key aspect of the integration of Motorola's businesses related to mobility technology and government and public safety. They were combined into the EMS business in early 2009. PartnerEmpower will consist of three program tracks, reflecting EMS's three core technology areas: wireless networks, mobility and radio. The tracks will be rolled out in stages over the next 18 months. Existing government, public safety and enterprise channel partners will be gradually transitioned into the appropriate track without business interruption, Motorola said, adding that existing programs will remain unchanged in the meantime. The new program tracks will include opportunities for certification in key areas, along with the chance to earn designation as a PartnerEmpower Specialist or Elite Specialist.
