HighJump Software has launched the HighJump App Station, a source for applications that can be added to customers' warehouse-management systems. The tool functions in the manner of a smartphone, providing users with immediate access to a collection of supply-chain workflows. According to HighJump, the App Station eliminates the need for costly upgrades, "application bloat," numerous interdependent configuration switches and risky source-code modifications. Customers can select and install only the new features that they need, without unnecessary code expansion and support expense. In the process, they can personalize new apps without disturbing existing supply-chain workflows. All apps are fully tested and backed by HighJump Support, the company said. HighJump offers software for distribution and logistics, direct store delivery, trading partner connectivity, mobility and manufacturing. Industry targets include distribution, food and beverage, third-party logistics providers, retail, healthcare and consumer goods.
