Prophesy Transportation Solutions is now offering a free online version of its commercial mileage software. Prophesy webMiler Free can be accessed via the company's website, www.mile.com. The action was taken in response to visitors' demands and to help ease the stress on smaller over-the-road trucking companies in difficult economic times, according to William Ashburn, vice president of Prophesy. Features of webMiler Free include point-to-point routing, shortest distances for commercial miles and routes, most practical miles and routes, and mileage summaries by state, for assistance in fuel-tax reporting. Basic, silver, gold and platinum versions of the online webMiler are also available for a monthly subscription free. They include such features as multi-point routing, digital maps down to street level, shortest distance and most practical miles, route optimization, the ability to save trip parameters, downloadable mileage reports, calculation of Industry Standard Rating (ISR) miles and optimization of fuel stops.
