HCL Technologies, a provider of information technology services, has launched a "one-stop" supply-chain platform called CataLOG. The tool was developed jointly with eBizNET Solutions Inc., a vendor of supply-chain execution applications delivered under the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. According to the two companies, the offering caters to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses, through a variety of pre-configured services on a subscription basis. CataLOG is a Web-based platform that can be accessed by users around the world, providing visibility into operations. The tool draws on eBizNET's expertise in distribution, transportation, reverse logistics and aftermarket services. HCL serves a number of sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, consumer services, public services and healthcare. eBizNET's hosted applications for the supply chain include warehouse, transportation, yard, port and cargo terminal management, along with activity-based billing and costing and reverse logistics.
