JustEnough Software Corp., a vendor of demand-management applications for retailers, distributors and brand owners, has released a new Markdown Planning tool. It is aimed at retailers, with the goal of helping them to better manage inventory and product lifecycles while improving margins. Effective markdown management can help to boost incremental buyer traffic, reduce excess inventory at the highest possible prices and support effective product phase-outs, according to Malcolm Buxton, president and chief executive officer of JustEnough. The software allows companies to set multiple markdown structures, with visibility into the impact of their actions on inventory, revenue and margin. A markdown structure planning feature offers a complete view of current inventory, price elasticity and product rate of sale. The tool also supports phase-out management and evaluation of financial impact at the product level. In another company announcement, JustEnough has entered into a global partnership with Junction Solutions, a provider of software for the multi-channel retail, food and beverage and distribution industries. The deal involves the integration of JustEnough's software with the JunctionMCR application and Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail. Both sets of software are available in on-premises and hosted versions.
