UPM RFID, a developer of technology tied to radio frequency identification applications, has developed a new line of RFID near-field communication (NFC) tags and inlays. The company said it is working with leading NFC smartphone manufacturers to ensure the interoperability of products. It plans to use market feedback to develop further NFC products. UPM tags include the BullsEye, RaceTrack, MiniTrack, Circus and MiniBlock. The first three are currently available via UPM's converting and distribution partners worldwide. Circus and MiniBlock are available for sampling. Part of UPM's Engineered Materials business group, UPM RFID is a major producer of HF and UHF RFID products. It has factories in China and the U.S. The UPM Group has production facilities in approximately 15 countries.
