Tecsys Inc., a vendor of supply-chain management software, has introduced five product innovations to its suite of applications for order management, self-service and mobility. Visual-On-Voice gives workers hands-free voice technology, speeding up access to critical information. They receive product-specific images to enable visual validation and ensure that the appropriate quality-assurance checks have been performed. Tecsys's Supply Management System (SMS) offers the concept of a "walk-in inventory store," where users can select, pick up and scan product, at which point the system is automatically refilled. The tool addresses the needs of self-distribution supply-chains at point of use for industries such as healthcare, utilities, education, municipalities, and maintenance and repair operations. A Customer Self-Service Kiosk, similar to the check-in points at airports, allows customers to enter a supplier's outlet, place orders online and obtain the products they need with minimal delay. Mobile Delivery Management offers event tracking and delivery management through a mobile system for fleet and internal delivery management. Distributors can create, pick up and deliver shipments directly from a handheld mobile device. Tecsys's Mobile Business Intelligence provides mobile workers with insight into key organizational data assets. Sales and service professionals can tap into data for improved customer service, the vendor said.
