The technology has been in the beta stage since July of this year, with Hollywood Feed, a provider of natural pet food, serving as an early user. It eliminates the need for technical expertise on the part of users, who need only complete a questionnaire before receiving the ready-to-deploy product. The technology was designed to support smaller to mid-sized operations, according to Voxware president and chief executive officer Keith Phillips. Cloud VMS runs without an IT infrastructure, eliminating costs related to server hardware, maintenance and IT personnel. Users receive automatic software updates, as well as hardware refreshes. No warehouse-management system (WMS) is necessary to operate Cloud VMS, Voxware said.
