Hybris offers an omni-channel platform which incorporates Web, mobile, call-center and store applications. It provides a single view of customers, products and orders across multiple demand and delivery channels, enabled by master data management and unified commerce processes. SAP plans to combine Hybris's technology with SAP HANA, its own in-memory platform, along with various analytical and cloud applications and the social software platform known as SAP Jam. SAP said the acquisition will further its "ability to help companies fully engage customers to improve loyalty and create stronger, more valuable relationships." The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2013. Hybris will operate as an independent business unit and retain its existing management team, SAP said.
