New features of the SAP Enterprise Demand Sensing application improve the quality of demand forecasts within short-term horizons, the vendor said. The application captures historical forecast trends, compares and mathematically blends multiple forecast sources with demand analytics, and characterizes demand by analyzing historical forecast accuracy, bias and intermittency trends. Launch of the demand-sensing tool follows introduction of the SAP Demand Signal Management application, based on the SAP HANA platform, which integrates internal and external demand signals.
