The 60,000-square-foot facility is located in Brownstown, 21 miles south of downtown Detroit. It will offer cross-dock, distribution and transportation services, employing a staff of about 60. The move follows Kane's recent expansion in the Southern California and Atlanta markets. The company's national network now totals 6.7 million square feet of distribution space in 21 facilities. Kane also manages a transportation fleet with retail consolidation services, offering overnight delivery to Northeast states, and nationwide service throughout the contiguous 48 states.
