The company has 800 employees and serves some 250 customers in more than 90 countries. The acquisition extends Dassault’s 3DExperience platform to business operations planning. The tool provides users with an environment to model, simulate and optimize their businesses. Quintiq offers a platform that encompasses both long-term strategy and day-to-day operational planning. Quintiq will expand Dassault’s Delmia brand, adding the new product line of operations planning and optimization software to the existing ones of digital manufacturing and manufacturing operations management. Quintiq serves customers in such industries as metals, mining, oil and gas, rail, delivery and freight.
