The update introduces Arena Analytics, a visual module. It enables companies to build insights into how their product-related business processes are performing, and see those results refreshed at a glance. Arena Analytics can create reports that examine data and key performance indicators from multiple dimensions. Once created, reports and metrics are updated and made available within Arena PLM. The feature eliminates the need to re-mail multiple versions of spreadsheets every time the data changes. Arena Analytics is fully integrated with GoodData's business-intelligence and analytics-delivery platform. Arena provides the complete extract, transform and load (ETL) infrastructure so that customers can focus on creating the analytics that help to improve their businesses, the vendor said. The Fall 2015 release of Arena PLM also includes simplified supplier access, providing a means to designate when suppliers are responsible for building products at the top-level assembly of a bill of materials. Once the designation is made, suppliers have access to the entire BOM. The sharing view provides complete visibility into each BOM item’s sharing status, and now includes the name of each supplier who is able to view each item.
