Growth in demand by customers in the retail, solar, high-tech, aerospace and medical industries prompted the investment, Seko said. In the San Francisco Bay Area, the company's Union City facility increases total capacity in the area to nearly 350,000 square feet. In Los Angeles, Seko’s Airfreight Gateway and local warehouse operation have relocated into a larger cross-dock and forwarding location. Covering 82,000 square feet, the site is more than 30 percent larger than Seko's former facility at Los Angeles International Airport. The LAX operation also supports Seko's home delivery services. The facility in Chino covers 117,000 square feet. Seko has also opened a 24,000 square-foot warehouse in Riverside to support retail customers in the region.
