Kewill Solutions North America, Inc. has released two new applications within its Global Trade Management software suite. Kewill Forwarding is an integrated global platform for freight forwarders. According to the vendor, it enables visibility at each stage of the execution chain, from initial order to final delivery. The tool grew out of the freight-forwarding software that Kewill picked up through its acquisition of IPACS eSolutions Pte Ltd. in February of last year. In addition, the company is now offering Kewill Customs, a comprehensive customs brokerage application for the U.S. The product, which integrates directly with Kewill Forwarding, is Java-based and features a Windows graphical user interface. Also included is Early Acceleration, a rapid-customs-clearance feature which aids in preparing and processing Customs entries. Both applications can improve the visibility and control of goods in the supply chain, minimize transaction costs and speed up delivery schedules, the vendor claimed.
