Accellos has developed Accellos One Workplace, a new composite application framework which will underlie the vendor's future product development. The system draws on recent innovations in Silverlight 3.0 and Windows Communication Foundation. Workspace allows Accellos to unify the user experience while maintaining the server-side functionality of its suite of supply chain applications, according to chief technology officer Ross Elliott. Version 1 of One Workspace is in limited beta release and is planned for general release in the fourth quarter of this year. Accellos also announced Accellos One Schedule, a new system for scheduling resources such as dock doors, fleet assets, drivers and yard locations. The tool minimizes the possibility of penalties from third-parties for delays caused by poor scheduling, the vendor said. Finally, Accellos has released a new integration between Sage Accpac ERP version 5.5 and its Warehouse Suite by Accellos. The integration allows for the seamless download of Sage Accpac purchase and sales orders from the native Sage Accpac ERP functionality to the warehouse system. It also offers support for multi-location serialized and lot-tracked inventory, and customer or vendor returns.
