APL Logistics has begun offering flow center operations in the international free trade zone in Dubai Logistics City (DLC), United Arab Emirates. The center aims to make product movements faster and more reliable by linking specialized multi-country consolidation, distribution and other value-added services. The facility has a total capacity of up to 25,000 square meters and more than 26,000 pallet positions. It is operated in partnership with the owner, RSA Logistics DWC LLC. In line with demand, the center can be expanded to 40,000 square meters. It is adjacent to a number of light manufacturing sites as well as to Dubai's air-cargo terminal, the Jebel Ali port, and road transport links. The free zone location allows foreign customers to benefit from the tax advantages of employing the center as a manufacturing and distribution base. Services performed by APL Logistics at the location include packaging, re-packaging, product assembly and quality control.
