Kinaxis has expanded its six-month-old Supply Chain Expert Community. The service is a free, public forum for learning about and discussing supply-chain issues. Currently it hosts more than 1,400 members. According to Kinaxis, the site now boasts a "sleeker" look and feel, with added functionality and easier navigation. The community features regular third-party industry bloggers. Participants can access multiple experts' blogs, including those of Lora Cecere of Altimeter Group, Bob Ferrari of the Ferrari Group, Joshua Greenbaum of Enterprise Applications Consulting and Jan Husdal of Husdal.com. In a related development, Kinaxis has launched a new Benchmarking Service, available at no cost to any member of the Expert Community. It provides a wide variety of information to companies looking to compare their supply-chain performance against multiple businesses and across various metrics. Users can rank their companies on any of 24 standard financial and operational metrics, such as cash-to-cash cycle, inventory turns, gross margin and return on invested capital.
