A new partnership between SupplyPro Inc. and SY-CON Systems Inc. is aimed at improving efficiency on the manufacturing floor. SupplyPro is a vendor of automated point-of-use (POU) dispensing systems. SY-CON sells software for managing inventory in a manufacturing environment. Their new offering enables PC-TOOLCRIB, SYCON's tool-management software, to replenish SupplyPro's suite of POU applications from the main "crib" inventory. It can also retrieve SupplyPro transaction information for current inventory activity tracking and historical reporting. The system consolidates all main crib, satellite cribs and POU dispensing data for reporting on usage and cost accounting. Activity for all inventory locations can be consolidated in PC-TOOLCRIB. All transactions from the SupplyPro POU machines are seamlessly interfaced into that application, the companies said. With the PCT-SupplyPro Module, they have integrated automated, POU-dispensed inventory and crib data for the management of inventories anywhere in the facility.
