The new application provides transportation and warehouse planners with lane-level visibility of promotions and other demand data. As a result, they can proactively reserve capacity, rather than search out carriers for orders already on hand. The tool also allows for analyses of network changes, resulting in more accurate feedback on strategic sourcing. Through integration with transportation and warehouse management systems, the software provides insight into capacity issues and required resources, increasing the use of advance reservations while decreasing spot buying. Improved visibility fosters better carrier collaboration and more intermodal use, helping users to align reservations with demand planning forecasts, according to the vendor.
