The Whirlpool Corp.'s distribution center in Orlando, Fla., operated by Kenco Logistic Services LLC, has been named a WERC (Warehousing Education and Research Council) Certified Facility. The WERC program provides a standardized grading methodology which includes facility inspection and process assessment by an independent third party. The voluntary initiative certifies an individual warehouse's capabilities, including the ability to perform core warehousing functions. Kenco is one of Whirlpool's leading third-party logistic services providers. The company manages more than 100 facilities overall, covering 25 million square feet of warehouse space in 30 states and Canada. Kenco specializes in services for the pharmaceutical, apparel, automotive, food, textile and appliance industries.
