Tagsys has joined with Neopost ID to provide supply-chain and retail tracking systems, utilizing radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, to the fashion and apparel market. Tagsys is a vendor of item-level RFID infrastructure. Neopost offers supply-chain traceability systems and integration services. The deal calls for Neopost to market and install Tagsys's new Fashion Item Tracking Store System (FiTS) for the fashion supply chain in France and other European markets. Neopost is the first systems integrator to be trained and certified on the new modular system, the companies said. The partnership draws on Tagsys's RFID expertise in item-level supply-chain traceability, along with Neopost's nearly eight years of experience in the deployment of RFID projects in the logistics and retail industries. The two companies added that they are currently collaborating on a traceability product for their first joint customer. Among the joint marketing activities to be performed by the partners are dedicated seminars to address the specific requirements of companies in the fashion and apparel supply chain.
