Zonar Systems and TMW Systems are collaborating on a service in support of truck fleet maintenance. TMW's Fleet Maintenance software can now access Zonar data to identify and prioritize repairs, pre-order parts, schedule service and automate work orders. Maintenance facilities get real-time pre- and post-trip inspection results, along with remote vehicle diagnostics, with the TMW software. According to the partners, the new integration provides a seamless process from data collection to service repair. Data supporting the integration stems from two Zonar applications: Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report (EVIR), which verifies pre- and post-trip inspections, and V2J High-Definition GPS & Vehicle Diagnostic System, which provides global positioning system capabilities combined with the real-time delivery of vehicle condition and performance data. Fleet managers can remotely diagnose possible vehicle maintenance problems and schedule service accordingly. They can expedite the service process by creating work orders, prioritizing repairs, scheduling technician time and ordering parts before the vehicle arrives for service. They can also make informed decisions regarding inspection defects, the companies said.
