Accellos Inc., a vendor of supply-chain execution software, has integrated its load- and truck route-optimization software with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) application from SBI Software, tailored to the needs of agriculture shippers. The deal gives users the ability to select orders in the SBI software and export them to AccellosOne Optimize, which consolidates the orders into shipments and converts them to full or multi-stop truckloads. Loads can be built one-way or round-trip. Once built in Optimize, loads are transmitted to the SBI software, where they can be managed throughout the delivery cycle. The integration takes into account such elements as equipment requirements, delivery time windows, appointment times, hours of service, multi-pick and multi-drop, and backhauls. Processes covered by SBI's ERP system for growers and garden centers include order management, inventory control, production management and point of sale.
