Solution: We collaborated with the customer to develop and implement a customized Web-based ordering system. A fulfillment management system greatly enhanced the quality of the operation while optimizing efficiency.

For the customer's two distribution centers, we installed RedPrairie® DLxP to integrate with the existing systems, applications, products, and SAP.

A computer-aided labor management system provides inputs on KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the operations and consistently evaluates improvements in efficiency.

Results: The fulfillment operation reduced inventory levels and monitored product expiration dates, saving $25,000. Also, productivity rose 25%.

The DCs surpassed baseline KPI goals, and users of the WMS could access information on demand for any activities performed while providing inventory status in the building.
