Dubbed PLL Transportation and Logistics Protect, the newly released product primarily provides liability coverage for customers who transport or arrange transport for both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
AIG Environmental Division executive Lana Keppel said the transportation and logistics industries are exposed to unique environmental risks at their facilities, or across the globe.
''Whether our clients are transporting by truck, rail or barge, PLL Transportation and Logistics Protect and our global footprint help to provide them with the protection they need,'' Keppel added.
Liability coverage includes new conditions coverage for locations not owned by the customer, but used for temporary products storage and discovery-restricted site coverage for clients owned or leased office spaces, warehouses, maintenance facilities and cargo storage facilities.
Additional offerings include coverage for spills occurring during power unit fueling, and crisis response coverage in addition to the policy limits of up to $250,000.
