The application will allow CMA CGM to anticipate the needs of its customer base while improving operational performance, the line said. The system will manage commercial processes independently, as well as automating management procedures associated with the 10.6 million containers that the CMA CGM Group moves each year. The project covers all 3.36 million bookings generated annually by the carrier, along with the end-to-end management of freight from yards, ports and on board vessels. The partners expect to begin implementing the new software throughout the CMA CGM group at the end of 2015.
