The new module enables real-time visibility into supply and demand, the company said. It provides interactive graphical views for analysis of planning data. Features include a Planning Advisor Summary, a workspace for the viewing of summary information about inventory on hand, safety stock, days until first receipt and lead time; and an In-Memory Planning Advisor Console, which helps planners to manage fluctuating supply and demand by examining the impact of such factors as bringing-in dates, quantity increases and supply cancellations. The In-Memory Planning Advisor was built and optimized on Oracle Engineered Systems, including Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Exalogic Elastic Cloud and SuperCluster.
