Customers of OTM can now send shipment data to FourKites and access tracking and exception management data generated by FourKites within OTM. The FourKites app eliminates the need for carrier electronic data interchange setups, or phone calls and e-mails to dispatchers, the company said. FourKites is integrated with more than 45 providers of electronic logging devices (ELD) and trailer-tracking systems. In addition, FourKites has developed proprietary smartphone apps and "app-less" tracking technology, using cell tower triangulation for trucks that have not yet installed an ELD. FourKites tracks truck locations every 15 minutes, recalculates estimated times of arrival using real-time location, traffic and weather data, and automates arrivals and departures using geo-fencing technologies. FourKites is a Gold-level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork.
