Fluensee, a vendor of asset tracking and management technology using radio frequency identification (RFID), has integrated its system with the Remedy Asset Management Application of BMC Software. AssetTrack extends the BMC tool to include real-time visibility and improved security of corporate IT assets, Fluensee said. Using RFID tags, it automates the locating, tracking and monitoring of assets, whether they are on or off the network. BMC's application aligns asset portfolios to business needs, streamlining interactions with other change, incident and configuration-management processes. Fluensee's technology provides users with visibility of an IT asset as it moves, issuing immediate updates whenever its status changes. Users can set up exception-based alerts to help streamline asset operations and improve utilization, reducing leasing costs and the need to buy unnecessary IT assets, the vendor said. Fluensee is a member of the BMC Technology Alliance.
