Amber Road, a vendor of global trade-management software, has released Export On-Demand. The export-compliance tool is aimed at small and medium-sized exporters. It addresses all aspects of compliance by centralizing product compliance data, screening trade parties and generating required documentation. The vendor generates a compliance "blueprint" based on its experience in automating many of the world's top exporters. A multi-organization and role-based security model configures the export process according to the user's own business processes. A management dashboard combines with workflow tools to organize the entire compliance process. A comprehensive product master stores all global compliance data with XML integration, to access baseline product data from enterprise systems. Export On-Demand offers integration with Amber Road Trade Content to facilitate product classifications, screen for restricted parties and determine documentation requirements. Manual "quick-entry" wizards create trade party or shipment records in cases when XML-based system integration is unavailable. A document engine analyzes all transactions and uses a pre-defined set of rules to generate and distribute a complete set of documentation prior to shipment. The new software is available in an on-demand model, eliminating the need to purchase implementing hardware or software.
