ClearOrbit has joined with Foxfire to provide global manufacturers and distributors with warehouse-management system (WMS) applications that are of relatively low cost and easy to deploy. ClearOrbit is a provider of software for supply-chain execution and reverse-logistics management. Foxfire's WMS, currently being used by hundreds of distribution and manufacturing operations around the world, will allow ClearOrbit to provide businesses of all sizes the ability to quickly implement full functionality in that area, the companies said. Foxfire's WMS incorporates software, hardware and professional services. Its applications are intended to help clients optimize inventories and boost warehouse labor productivity. ClearOrbit's software builds on companies' existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to provide fully integrated supply-chain mobility and collaboration systems for achieving "last-mile" functionality.
