HighJump Software, a vendor of supply-chain execution applications, has made available version 10.5 of HighJump Warehouse Advantage. Among the new features is visual packing, a new workflow which utilizes the HighJump Advantage Dashboard in combination with a wireless mobile computer to facilitate the optimal packing of product into shipping containers. According to HighJump, the new process offers better visibility to product flows through an outbound packing station, including metrics for warehouse workers and supervisors. The application's task-management capability has been enhanced to optimize task direction for warehouse employees who perform re-slotting, pick-face replenishment and other task-directed product movements. The HighJump Advantage Platform consists of a flexible architecture, which supports simplified upgrades, the vendor said. As new features are released in subsequent versions of the HighJump WMS, customers will be able to merge chosen workflows into their existing configuration.
