Integration Point Inc. has entered into a strategic relationship with Samjong KPMG Advisory Inc. to aid in the automation of free-trade agreements (FTAs) in South Korea. Integration Point is a provider of software for global trade management compliance. Samjong KPMG is a professional services firm based in South Korea. According to the partners, the new joint service will help companies to derive benefits from current and future FTAs between South Korea and India, Southeast Asian nations, and the U.S. South Korea currently has 14 FTAs that are signed, in process or under study. In the next 10 years, it is expected to conclude trade pacts with more than 60 countries. The new service, called Integration Point FTA Management, allows companies to manage qualifications for multiple FTAs, solicit and manage supplier documentation and certificates of origin, generate certificates of origin for customs agencies based on eligibility criteria, analyze bills of materials against multiple FTAs, and access current global FTA rules in an "on-demand" environment.
