Accellos, a vendor of supply-chain execution applications, has acquired the assets of Virtual Dispatch LLC, the Staufville, Ont.-based provider of both on-premise and on-demand transportation-management system (TMS) software. Accellos said it will integrate certain of Virtual Dispatch's assets into its Stratus "cloud" computing portfolio. The Stratus infrastructure was built on Microsoft standards such as Silverlight and Azure, utilizing a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. Based in Colorado Springs, CO, Accellos is a global provider of software for logistics, warehouse operations, third-party logistics, transportation and mobile fleet management.
