Exostar, a vendor of software for collaboration between manufacturers and their trading partners, has made generally available Supply Chain Platform 2 (SCP), the company's hosted supply-chain management service. It allows companies to optimize business process and information flows to and from supply-chain partners. Built on software from E2open, SCP enables real-time integration for planning, procurement, inventory and logistics processes. A dedicated "virtual" instance of SCP can be customized to address a user's specific business requirements. The application is fully integrated with Exostar's Management Access Gateway (MAG) service for identity assurance and access management. It captures the advantages of "cloud" technology while shielding intellectual property from unauthorized users. MAG's Enterprise Access Gateway option allows for single sign-on access to SCP 2 from the local desktop. Exostar targets companies in aerospace and defense, life sciences and other industries.
