Infor has made generally available version 5.1 of Infor WFM Workbrain, a workforce-management application. The update is based on direct feedback and requests from customers, touching more than 4.7 million associates across 140 brands in the retail industry alone, according to the vendor. It features improved computational efficiency, resulting from a "massive" code-optimization effort aimed at reducing hardware requirements and associated costs, Infor said. More than a million lines of software code were analyzed or updated in the vendor's effort to boost efficiency, enhance scalability and reduce the total cost of ownership. Infor also offers software for managing customer relationships, enterprise assets, financials, product lifecycles, supply chains, hospitality customers and the public sector, among other areas.
