AT&T has added three mobile transportation and dispatch-management applications to its portfolio of fleet-management tools. Now available directly to AT&T customers, the products are from Complete Innovations and Xata Corp. They are designed to streamline operations, optimize fleet and mobile workforce performance and promote adherence with the CSA 2010 (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) initiative of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The two applications from Complete Innovations have been branded Courier Complete from AT&T and Fleet Complete from AT&T. The first offers companies in the courier, messenger and distribution industries a means of managing operations. Businesses can wirelessly dispatch services, then track the location of deliveries. Fleet Complete is a GPS-based workforce, fleet and asset-management tool for mid-sized businesses. Users can monitor fleets in real time and analyze past data to check on the safety and productivity of drivers. The third addition, dubbed Xata Turnpike from AT&T, helps private and for-hire fleets as well as owner-operators to comply with CSA 2010. Users can install Xata Turnpike, then run the application on their mobile devices.
