Insource Spend Management Group has released version 3.0 of its IDAS software for parcel-spend analysis. The tool was designed to provide multi-dimensional data analysis of parcel freight spend across zones, vertical industries, geographic regions, multiple modes and varying volumes. According to the vendor, the software is best suited for companies that spend between $3m and $400m per year on parcel shipping. The system analyzes current contracts and pricing strategies, then identifies areas for savings. Version 3.0 of Insource IDAS includes an enhanced user interface and business-objects dashboard. The application analyzes a company's existing shipping data to determine the best available parcel carrier target pricing and shipping discounts. Insource is a spend-management provider helping to identify savings opportunities in transportation, technology and telecom pricing agreements.
