Drawing on the technology of Red Dot Square's Smart Suite, JDA 3D offers an interactive, photo-realistic view of space and floor plans. It is a plug-in to the JDA Category Management suite. The virtual reality platform can translate promotion and merchandising ideas in the context of the entire store, enabling retailers to guide consumers along the path to purchase from the moment they enter the store. Design, store and marketing concepts can be developed and positioned in different store environments. In another company announcement, JDA has released version 8.0 of JDA Assortment, merchandising software which combines consumer-purchase preferences, in-depth analytics, assortment lifecycle planning, sizing and pre-pack optimization into one workflow. JDA Assortment is the result of the converging of the vendor's Buying and Assortment Management and Assortment Planning applications. Features include assortment strategy, plan versioning, improved assortment tailoring, assortment configuration and filtering on sales and receipt plan.
