The Chittagong facility resides within APL Logistics' container freight station, which covers 115,000 square feet and is close to the Port of Chittagong. Both facilities are near the majority of Bangladesh's garment manufacturers. The new centers allow APL Logistics to centralize quality-assurance activities, which were previously performed across various factory locations and involved multiple specialists. The facilities also offer a number of value-added services, such as pick and pack, labeling and scanning. APL Logistics is a unit of Singapore-based Neptune Orient Lines.
