Under the new arrangement, CHEP Aerospace will place its repair-management system, ACTIS, at Envirotainer's stations. In the process, CHEP will ensure that Envirotainer's suite of services for container maintenance, repair and handling are performed consistently around the world. It will also help Envirotainer to expand its cold-chain services network in Asia and other high-growth markets. In addition, certain assets and resources from Envirotainer will be brought together into a new joint entity, which will provide active cold-chain services to customers currently using passive systems. CHEP manages an independent, global fleet of unit load devices (ULDs).
