The design of Voyage & Container Tracking was based on requirements submitted by Syspro’s 15,000 clients around the world, and has been refined over a two-year period of operation with a New York City-based cosmetic component manufacturer and distributor. The app is available as part of the Syspro ERP software in both on-premise and cloud-deployment models. It features three major components: Release Matrix, with visibility and management of items outlined in purchase and sales orders; Container Management, determining which products will travel in which containers at which times, and Disposition Management, allowing companies to manage the delivery and processing of multiple containers in a single voyage or shipment number. The disposition is based on multiple factors, including visibility into quarantine holds, transactional processing and voyage modification visibility. Syspro analytics chart elements such as inventory costs, impact on elapsed time between ports, and management of the number of containers shipped.
