Transite is a vendor of cost-management software and services for logistics. It claims that Quantum, a transportation management system (TMS) tool, cuts transportation costs by 20 percent and more. Transite's services include rate negotiation; carrier contract management, shipment rating, freight-bill audit, financial reporting and other spend reduction and best practices. The offering is aimed at truckload, less-than-truckload, parcel, air and ocean transport. Transite's flagship technology, My Freight Portal, identifies the least-cost shipping choice. Additional Transite technologies are embedded within Quantum.
